Yes. TruckRoute.AI is a truck GPS app for iPhone (iOS 16.4 or later) and Android phones, available on the App Store and Google Play. Premium and Oversize are paid plans, and you can start with a 3-day free trial. Set your truck profile – height, weight, load type and stops – and plan your first truck-safe route.

Do I need a subscription to use TruckRoute.AI?
Premium, the full truck co-pilot for everyday driving, is $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year. The Oversize plan, with permit routing and everything in Premium, is $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year. There is a 3-day free trial, so you can try it on the road before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Can I see toll costs or avoid toll roads?
Yes. When you plan a trip, TruckRoute.AI shows the estimated toll cost for each route option before you go, side by side with drive time, traffic delay and weather. If the tolls are too high, flip the Avoid toll roads switch and compare the new time and distance. Pay the tolls or take the long way – either way, you know the cost before you roll.

Oversize permit routing works with permits from every US state. The app was created by a husband-and-wife team who drove trucks across the US.

All your route data and preferences are encrypted and stored securely. We do not share or sell your information to third parties.

What alerts will I get on my route?
TruckRoute.AI warns you about what is ahead on your route, not just where you are. You get live DOT alerts for closures, chain control, weigh stations and traffic, plus official National Weather Service alerts such as Flood Watch, with weather-based rerouting. On the Oversize plan, the app also warns you when you leave your permitted route. Always follow posted signs and officials on scene.

Can I upload my oversize permit?
Yes. On the Oversize plan, open Oversize permits, tap Upload permit and add your permit as a PDF or a photo. TruckRoute.AI reads the permit and puts the issued route on the map, with weigh stations, truck stops and rest areas along it. Your recent permit routes stay in one list, so you can open them again on the next trip.

How fast does TruckRoute.AI turn a permit into a route?
In about 30 seconds. Typing a permit route into a GPS turn by turn takes about an hour by hand. TruckRoute.AI reads the permit for you and builds the issued route on the map, ready to drive. Permit recognition is patent pending. Build time depends on the permit and your connection, so check the route against your permit before you roll.

Which states' oversize permits can TruckRoute.AI read?
Oversize permits from every US state. Upload the permit your state DOT issued, as a PDF or a photo, and TruckRoute.AI puts the issued route on the map in about 30 seconds. Permit layouts differ from state to state, so always compare the route on the map with your permit before you roll, and keep the permit with you on the trip.

How much is the Oversize plan?
The Oversize plan is $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year in the US. It adds oversize permit routing: upload a permit, get the issued route on the map and a warning if you leave it. The Oversize plan also includes everything in Premium. Prices can vary by country and store. Cancel anytime in your store settings.

Does TruckRoute.AI replace my permit, pilot cars or legal checks?
No. TruckRoute.AI is a navigation aid, not a permit or a legal service. Your issued permit and its conditions, state rules, posted signs, escort and pilot car requirements and instructions from officials always come first. Keep the permit with you, compare the route on the map with it before you roll, and stop safely if anything does not match. The driver stays responsible for the route.

Will TruckRoute.AI warn me if I leave my permit route?
Yes. On the Oversize plan, TruckRoute.AI follows the issued route from your permit and shows a warning as soon as you leave it, so you can pull over safely and get back on the permitted roads. A wrong turn with an oversize load can mean a fine or a road you cannot fit, so the warning helps you catch a missed turn early.
